- Abstract
The author reflects on the changes of psychiatry in Germany. He states that after completing his doctoral degree in philosophy in 1951, he worked for the University of Tübingen's Department of Psychiatry and Neurology chairman Ernst Kretschmer. An overview of the establishment of Max Planck Institute, and Central Institute of Mental Health (CIMH) is offered. The author adds that the crimes under the National Socialist (NS) system had bad effect to the disabled, and mentally ill in Germany.
