- Abstract
The article offers the authors' perspective regarding an article on the involvement of Google Inc. in the market research surveys. The authors believe that Google Consumer Surveys (GCS) is capable of upending the market research community by offering researchers a way to capture from a large audience some survey. They suggest that leveraging participation as an alternative to paying for access to subscriber is the key GCS strategy for motivating respondents to take its surveys. They also tackle the concern on how GCS obtains the demograhic description of respondents.
