The fungus has equal value in biomedicine and agricultural applications through the production of various metabolites and enzymes. The fungal secondary metabolites/enzymes are known to exhibit antibacterial, antioxidant, antiviral, anticancer, prevent stroke risk, hypertension, Parkinson's, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, and anti-Alzheimer's disease activity.
