- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the acute toxicities of dieldrin and deltamethrin to Oreochromis niloticus (LIN). The study performs acclimatization of LIN in glass aquaria, stock solutions, and a program from the IBM Model 55 SX computer to calculate the 95% confidence intervals. Results show that deltamethrin is two times more toxic to the species than dieldrin and may not be a good alternative for dieldrin, but is of low toxicity to mammals.
