- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the effect of lead (Pb) and paraquat (PQ) in gills and liver of teleost fish Oreochromis hornorum. It states that probit analysis was employed during the conduct of preliminary range-finding test to evaluate the toxicity of Pb and PQ. Result shows that lipid peroxidation is higher by 40% in liver than in gills and fish exposure on PQ increases its gill carbonic anhydrase activity.
