- Authors
Jennison, Ruth
- Abstract
A literary criticism is presented of the poet Louis Zukofsky in which the author examines Objectivist poetics as an example of American modernism that emphasizes anticapitalism and formal experimentation. The article discusses the ways in which Zukofsky's poetry lends insight into the economic and social concepts of 20th and 21st century political economists such as Leon Trotsky and David Harvey. Additional topics include the impact of the philosopher Marx on Zukofsky and Zukofsky's poem "A."
