- Authors

- Abstract
The authors discuss a pay-for-performance trial in Zambia that has pay-for-performance, enhanced financing, and business as usual as study groups. The study concluded that the pay-for-performance intervention was cost-effective. It is said that any output-based provider payment method requires some method of verification. It is also noted that approaching pay-for-performance as an either-or choice of financing is no longer the only frame of reference.
