- Abstract
In Romania, granting the dental emergency treatment to all categories of patients is not only a moral obligation but also an obligation regulated by law. Emergencies in the dental office are divided into two distinct categories, as follows: emergencies that can be fully assisted in a dental office, and emergencies that cannot be assisted at all in a classic dental office, the last category being sent after receiving the first aid to the most competent medical services for definitive treatment. Thus, in this paper we will refer to the theoretical and practical principles, which include the emergency treatment for the aforementioned disorders of the oral and maxillofacial region, as well as the conduct that the dental team (dentist, cabinet assistant, dental technician) must have it in such cases.
