- Abstract
The article presents an alternative termination scheme on substitutional nitrogen (N). It highlights simulation method which recommend that nitrogen terminated diamond surfaces need to be relatively free of unwanted spins. It shows that the surfaces are composed primarily of singly substitutional N on the surface, even though some carbon-hydrogen (C-H) bonds remain.
