- Abstract
The article presents a study that determined the diversity and composition of fish communities in Pahang estuary in Malaysia during monsoon and non-monsoon seasons from April to December 2008. The study focused on a total of 145 individuals of fish representing 24 species belonging to 14 families. It showed the estuary dominated by various species belonging to the family Ariidae, 69.32 percent, followed by Sciaenidae, 8.82 percent while Pristigasteridae and Latidae constituted 4.2 percent each of the fish diversity.
