- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examined the relationship between the antibacterial activity and structure of 9-O,9′-O-Demethyl (+)-virgatusin. It is indicated that the conversion of hydroxy groups on the nine and nine′ positions to amino groups increased the activity. The three′-methoxy group was more important for higher activity than the four′-methoxy group on the seven′-phenyl group.
