- Abstract
Of the patients with VA recurrence who had been discharged on amiodarone after LVAD, 12 had stopped amiodarone prior to their first VA. Given the support of catheter ablation in non-LVAD population, larger prospective trials on the benefits of catheter ablation in LVAD patients would be helpful to guide optimal management in this challenging patient population. Furthermore, many patients with LVADs continue to have recurrence of VAs, and recurrent ICD therapies can cause significant morbidity and lower quality of life in LVAD patients.
