- Abstract
This article focuses on the administration of antibody to hepatitis B surface antigen (anti-HBs)-enriched immunoglobulin in healthy volunteers. The authors administered the novel human hepatitis B immunoglobulin BT088 in thirty male and female healthy volunteers, with baseline anti-HBs concentrations below 0.002 IU/ml, to investigate its tolerability and pharmacokinetics. In order to determine anti-HBs serum concentrations, blood samples were drawn before the administration of BT088. An enzyme-linked immunoassay was used to measure anti-HBs concentrations.
