- Abstract
A mathematical model describing the process of formation of rapidly hardened flakes from molten metal drops by centrifugal sputtering onto a cold rotating crystallization screen is suggested. An analysis of the sizes and shapes of rapidly hardened flakes of alloy Nd12Fe80B7Ti obtained in a “Tsentr-2” installation shows that the model is adequate to experiment.
