- Abstract
This article discusses a profile of male and female applicants for a special college program for learning disabled students. During this period, 245 young adults were tested at our center, residents of every region of the country, from Florida to Alaska and from Arizona to Maine. Applicants and their families learned of the program primarily through counselors and publications of the National Association for Children With Learning Disabilities. Although a few scholarships were available, the vast majority of applicants knew that, if accepted, they would be expected to pay full tuition.
