- Authors
Bleys, Joachim; Navas-Acien, Ana; Guallar, Eliseo
- Abstract
The author comments on the findings of the study concerning the effect of selenium supplementation among diabetics. He asserts that the result which shows an increased risk for diabetes is credible based on the monitoring and follow-up of selenium plasma levels. The author believes that the supplement does not cause diabetes or establish potential risks, rather, it is caused by obesity and lack of physical activity.
