- Abstract
The article focuses on the National Program to Eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis (NPELF) started in Haiti in 2000. It is noted thatmany challenges, including political crises, hurricanes, a devastating earthquake and a deadly cholera outbreak in the earthquake's aftermath were faced by the profram. It is stated that mosquitoborne parasitic infection is represented by LF that is best known for causing elephantiasis and hydrocele conditions.
