- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the severity level of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) at which continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy is considered to be a precursor for the development of cardiovascular disease. Methods used to determine the effects of the utilization of CPAP are offered. Results highlight the greatest benefits observed with CPAP therapy and the elevated Troponin T measured with a high sensitivity assay (Hs-TnT) in patients with OSA.
