- Abstract
The article discusses the groundwater contamination site in Wichita, Kansas, discovered in 1990. Focus is given to the response of the City of Wichita to the contamination, which can be adapted and utilized in other communities. The city's strategies include the creation of a community engagement plan, conduct of a remediation investigation and feasibility study, and development of the Certificate and Release for Environmental Conditions program to help property owner avoid potential liability.
