- Abstract
The article examines the importance of an accurate surgical staging in the treatment of early ovarian cancer. It states that the management options for treating early stage ovarian cancer may include surgery, or restage proven malignant cases at a second procedure. It mentions a study which found that intraoperative frozen section (FS) diagnosis at first surgery can reliably differentiate primary from metastatic and malignant from non-malignant tumours.
