- Abstract
The article examines the role of buckwheat cultivation as the natural enhancer in rhizosphere phosphorus. Topics discussed include the deficient of soils in India to phosphorus, its significance to soil fertility, and mechanisms such as root-associated mycorrhizae, root acid, and organic acid exudation. Also noted are the economic benefits of buckwheat cultivation including improvement of soil quality and fertility, and its potential to improve the fragile mountain ecosystem.
