- Title
THE FRESH-WATER BIOLOGICAL LABORATORY ON WINDERMERE, FOUNDED BY THE FRESH-WATER BIOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE.
- Abstract
The article features the fresh-water laboratory founded by the Fresh-water Biological Association of the British Empire, located in Wray castle, about 500 yards from the shore on the west side of the north end of Lake Windermere, England. Aside from basic laboratory equipment housed inside one of the rooms of the castle, the association owns a pinnace, which was originally built for the sea, but is suitable for work during the roughest weather that may be expected on the lake. A conservatory, as well as a small open dock are built for the laboratory studies.
