- Abstract
The article presents case study of 1-month-old boy presented to hospital for medical care with a 24-h history of fever and refusal to extend the hip joint. It mentions diagnosis of Streptococcus agalactiae, or group B Streptococcus (GBS), the leading cause of severe bacterial infections in neonates; and also mentions pyomyositis as a manifestation of late-onset group B Streptococcus disease.
