- Abstract
An important role in the group of special motor abilities is played by the power that enables a cross-country skier to push off. The prevailing power in the execution of the cross-country skiing technique is the dynamic power with the endurance component of muscle activation. Owing to the above, power can be successfully realised only with a high level of special endurance, and vice versa. Cross-country skiers mostly use situational training to develop their special power. Moreover, they increasingly use special training devices for development of power. The development of these types of devices is the result of the state-of-the-art sport technology the aim of which is to make the training process more efficient. At the same time, this process is controlled ever more with objective measurement instruments. This article presents the possibilities of using the training device for development of push-off power of arms of cross-country skiers
