- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the acute pulmonary failure during remission induction chemotherapy in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or myelodysplastic syndrome. It states that a retrospective study was conducted to 1541 patients who are referred for remission induction therapy of AML or high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome. The results show that early preventive approaches during induction therapy may improve the outcome of patients.
