- Abstract
The article presents a study which uses the age-adjusted Charlson comorbidity index (ACCI) to characterize the impact of age and comorbidity on disease progression and overall survival after radical cystectomy (RC) for transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder. Results of the multivariate analyses show that the age and comorbidity among patients who underwent RC increase with time and that both age and comorbidity were associated with treatment selection and survival.
