- Title
How Good Must Teachers Be?
- Authors
Castellana, Joseph A.
- Abstract
The author examines the standards for which the competence of teachers are measured and analyzed in the U.S. Significantly, the quantitative standards of teaching standards should be evaluated since it is enough for a person to have attained a college degree to teach. The author presents several suggestions in the selection of the right teachers. The author argues that higher standards for teachers might aggravate further teacher shortages.
