- Authors
Shah, Alpa
- Abstract
The author comments on an essay on the declarations of dependence by South Africans which is considered a critique of the autonomy and freedom of the emancipatory liberal mind. He criticizes the argument that the modern idea of free individuals is not universal. The author also considers the essay as a means for anthropologists to challenge development economists.
