- Abstract
This article describes a study concerning the relationship between the incidence of gall mite infestation and the incidence of reversion. It was noted that there was a good correlation between the level of gall mite infestation on 40 commercial plantations inspected during the winter of 1961/62 and the incidence of reversion during 1963. Practical implications of this with regard to the control of gall mite are briefly discussed. There was also a close negative correlation between the severity of reversion estimated by flower symptoms and the yield of fruit.
