- Abstract
In order to know use of ICT in university teaching functions, a closed-question survey to a sample of 346 full-time faculty of the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, was applied in 2011. 8 research-related activities, 14 teaching-related activities and 5 outreach activities were analyzed. This study was developed with two research hypothesis, and the information was processed with SPSS v.18, with a Chi Square test for the first hypothesis, and a t-test of mean difference for the second hypothesis. The results obtained indicate that there is a direct relationship between the frequency and proficiency in the use of ICT by teachers, but the difference between the intensity of use in research activities related to the teaching and extensión is not significant.
