- Abstract
This article presents a case study of inhaled nitric oxide and oral nifedipine in a preterm infant with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) and pulmonary hypertension (PH). PH is a common cardiovascular complication associated with increased morbidity and mortality in preterm infants with BPD. Clinical history of the patient is discussed, as well as results of laboratory examinations performed on the patient. The management of the disease is described.
