- Title
What to do when there is no standard of care: A brief review of treatment options for glioblastoma in children.
- Authors
Scott, Jacob G.; Lavey, Robert S.
- Abstract
The authors reflect on the advances in glioblastoma treatment in the pediatric population. They mention that temozolomide might be very helpful for the minority of children having 6O-methylguanine-methyltransferase (MGMT) overexpressing tumors while temozolomide did not benefit the overall population of pediatric malignant glioma. They state that there is no standard therapy once a child has recurred or progressed after an initial multimodality therapy.
