- Abstract
Reports on the finding that moderate dietary restriction in protein and phosphate should be started early in patients with chronic renal failure. Lack of a controlled study to evaluate whether protein restriction is superior to the control of blood pressure; Evidence that the dietary regimen reduces or halts the decline of renal function for substantial periods of time and is not harmful to patients.
