- Abstract
The article offers information on some specific features of geodynamic processes which occurred in the formation of the northern segment of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (MAR). It informs that these specific features are caused by plume matter of the Iceland and Azores hotspots. It reports that specific features involving the genesis of Iceland, the volcanic archipelago of the Azores, and the northern segment of the MAR caused by plumetectonic processes associated with the process of differentiation of the mantle matter. It concludes that the computer modeling allows to identify the influence of the lower mantle matter of the plume on the geodynamic processes on the formation of the MAR.
