- Abstract
The author offers information on antral pulmonary vein isolation as an accepted pattern for catheter ablation of persistent atrial fibrillation. The author mentions a study for assessing blockage of anterior perimitral conduction by analyzing sinus rhythm electrograms from a multielectrode catheter placed within the left atrial appendage (LAA). In the study patients were patients were analyzed on the basis of intermediate conduction prolongation of less than 50 milliseconds.
