- Abstract
The article offers information on the role of non-invasive spinal simulation in spasticity therapy for the treatment of spinal cord injury (SCI.) Topics discussed include studies related to mechanism of action by which spinal stimulation modulate SCI spasticity; importance of stimulation patterns in modulating spinal reflex excitability, voluntary motor control, and clinical measures of spasticity; and effect of transcutaneous spinal stimulation protocols to promote residual motor function.
