- Abstract
A continuous and uncontrolled disposal of the aviary bed on the ground can cause environmental impacts. This study had as objective to evaluate the influence of the application of aviary bed on the chemical and microbiological characteristics of the soil. The first collect was made two years after the last application of aviary bed in the areas with cultivation of tifton, corn /oats oleraceous and cassava, and in the native forest. The second harvest was made ninety days after the application in soils with annual crops (tifton and corn /oat) and in the native area. The data of the first collection were made up of a completely randomized experimente and the second one was made trough a 3x2 factorial experiment (soil uses x application time). The chemical analysis were about macro and micronutrients, pH, organic carbon and base saturation, besides mineral nitrogen. The microbiological characteristics analyzed were microbial biomass carbon, basal respiration, metabolic quotient, microbial quotient and nitrogen mineralization. The application of aviary bed related to the other factors such as crops, clay content and soil management caused an increase in the base saturation and in the concentrations of Ca, Mg, K, P and Zn, and reduced soil organic carbon and mineral nitrogen in the soil. The MBC and its activity decreased, and the metabolic quotient increased. The soils of the second collect had higher values of BR, qCO2, mineral N and nitrogen mineralization. An application of aviary bed influenced as soil chemical and microbiological characteristics.
