- Abstract
The article focuses on epidemiological data from a national registry has indicated the association between bullous pemphigoid (BP) and neurodegenerative disorders (ND). Topics include the certain studies directly has linked ND and BP through an antibody-based mechanism, the neural system antigens are recognized by the antibodies from BP patients, and the lack of data concerning the conceptual role of anti-neuronal antibodies underlying the risk of development of BP in ND patients.
