- Abstract
The article provides information on the correlation between atopy and tuberculin/Candida skin test (TST/CST) reactivity in a cohort vaccinated by bacillus Calmette-Guerin. It defines bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccine to be capable of inducing Th1 immune response to decrease the risk of Th2-associated atopy. It con concludes that child with positive TST reactivity is inversely associated to atopic dermatitis, and allergic rhinitis but not in asthma.
