A biography of Robert Burns Woodward, an American organic chemist, is presented. He was born on April 10, 1917 in Boston, Massachusetts and studied at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Massachusetts. Topics discussed include his interest in organic chemistry from his childhood, his first marriage to Irja Pullman and second marriage to Eudoxia Muller, and receiving the Nobel Prize for chemistry in 1965.
