- Abstract
The cytotoxicity and antibacterial activities of crude extracts from the leaves of Sida rhombifolia were investigated. The ethyl acetate extract showed potent cytotoxicity with LC50 values (5.41 ppm) comparable to the reference standard, gallic acid. All the extracts showed weak antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative test organisms. Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
