It takes all kinds to make a brain.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article cites a research study by K. Padmanabhan and N. Urban which suggests that the variation in the nervous system increases the coding capacity of neural ensembles. Neuronal diversity is said to be beneficial in many ways, such as, increasing adaptability, producing adequately functional circuits, and so on. This diversity in the intrinsic features of neurons can be a virtue.
