- Abstract
The article focuses on the study conducted by Laugesen and colleagues concerning the prognostic ability of ambulatory pulse pressure (APP) and ambulatory arterial stiffness index (AASI) for cardiovascular event prediction in diabetic patients. The findings of the study indicates that the day time/nighttime ambulatory blood pressure (ABP) was the basis of its prognostic ability. It states that different pathophysiological changes of the cardiovascular system were represented by different markers.
