- Abstract
This article discusses the use of transvesical ultrasound-guided local methotrexate (MTX) injection as a first-line treatment for ectopic Caesarean scar pregnancies (CSP). The study conducted a retrospective analysis of five CSP cases treated with transvesical injection of MTX. The results showed that this technique was successful in treating the patients, with a significant drop in hCG levels and cessation of fetal cardiac activity in four patients, leading to further uncomplicated dilation and curettage. The authors conclude that transvesical injection of MTX is a minimally invasive and effective option for treating CSP, and should be considered as a first-line method.
