- Abstract
The 2024 Olympic Games showcased the power of racial equity and diversity. The athletes, who broke numerous records and represented five first-time medal-winning countries, demonstrated ease and respect while competing together. The multiracial composition of the U.S. artistic gymnastic teams highlighted the need for racial integration in schools and neighborhoods. However, the United States still faces segregation, particularly affecting the Black population, which limits opportunities and resources. The Olympics also showcased the excellence of athletes of African descent in various sports, challenging stereotypes and highlighting the need for equal opportunities. The article emphasizes the importance of diversity and equity in creating a stronger and more unified country.
