- Abstract
The article presents a consecutive case series study of 16 healthy and nonsmoking patients with advanced peri-implant bone loss who were treated in a periodontal office by an experienced periodontist. It explores a wide range of surgical approaches for the therapy of peri-implantitis including open-flap debridement of implant surface, resective techniques and implantoplasty. The successful outcomes of implant surface decontamination with the use of titanium brushes is also explored.
