HOW CAN SCIENCE LEARNINGS BE INCORPORATED INTO THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CURRICULUM?
- Authors
Blackwood, Paul E.
- Abstract
The article discusses the need of teachers to develop a strategy to incorporate science learning into the elementary school curriculum. In order for children to acquire significant science learning at school, it is important, in the long run, that their teachers have a growing sympathy and understanding of the place of science in the lives of children. Elementary school staffs must develop a clear understanding of the purposes to be achieved by teaching science. One way for teachers to develop some agreements on the purposes for teaching science is to discuss it.
