- Title
Mind the Gap: NGS Study Finds 1 Million Platform Discrepancies.
- Authors
DAVIES, KEVIN
- Abstract
The article focuses on a study led by University of Utah researcher Mark Yandell, published in the journal "Genetics in Medicine" which discovered discrepancies from the sequencing of an identical human genome sample using two next-generation sequencing (NGS) platforms. According to Yandell, the NGS platform is not the only factor in sequence discrepancies. It mentions Yandell's paper published with software firm Omicia, describing the Genome Variation Format (GVF) standardized file format.
