- Abstract
The Northwestern Glaciated Plains Ecoregion in the United States occurs in portions of three states in the American plains (Montana, North and South Dakota). There are 12 species found here, representing seven genera and one family (Lumbricidae). None of the species is considered native (endemic) to North America; all others are European (exotic) introductions. A description of the ecoregion and four colour photographs are also included.
