- Abstract
In recentyears, exploration target expanded into middle-deep formation and light-gas along with the development of explorationwork. So, it is needed toreunderstand the resource status, resource type and resource quantity in Ordos Basin. In this paper, we analyzed the geological conditions of gas reservoir formation, established the reservoir formationmodel of the carbonate gas in Lower Palaeozoic and the tight sandstone gas in Upper Paleozoic, and made clear the natural gas enrichment laws in Ordos Basin. Meanwhile, in order to meet the needs of precise prospecting,we optimized and refined the evaluation parameters, evaluated the quantity of natural gas resources in Ordos Basin using 6 methods which include the small surface element method and the EUR-analogy method etc., on the basis of “layer-zone” division. The quantity of natural gas geological resources is 15.68×1012m3 and the surplus is 8.79 ×1012m3 in total. The amount of residual geological resources of conventional gas is 1.67×1012m3, and the mount of residual geological resources of unconventional gas is 7.12×1012m3. We forecast the distribution law in different layers and different regions, and optimize favorable exploration target zone hierarchically.
